  • Pure Tone Audiometry
    
    This test measures patient’s hearing thresholds across frequencies and reveals the type and degree of hearing loss. The test is performed in a sound proof room. Patient, wearing a headphone, will be instructed to press the button when hear sounds.
    
    
  • Impedance Audiometry
    
    This test measures the middle ear condition. A probe will be placed in patient’s ears which patient will feel some pressure in the ears. Result reveals movement of the ear drums and conditions of the ear bones.
    
    
  • Aided Soundfield Testing (Eligible for hearing aid users only)
    
    This test measures the improvement of hearing thresholds after the use of hearing aid(s). This test is performed in a sound proof room. Patient, wearing hearing aid(s), will be instructed to press the button when hear sounds presented from the speakers.
    
    
  • Loudness Discomfort Level Testing
    
    This test measures patient’s sensitivity to loud sounds. This test is performed in a sound proof room. Patient will be presented with sounds of increasing intensities and has to indicate their tolerance towards these sounds.
    
    
  • Speech Audiometry (Cantonese/Mandarin)
    
    This test measures patient’s performance to perceive speech. The test is performed in a sound proof room. Patient will be instructed to repeat words presented to them at various intensities.
    
    
  • Reflex Decay
    
    This test detects the presence of retrocochlear hearing loss. A probe will be placed in patient’s ears and a 10-second long beep will be presented. The result helps determine the presence of retrocochlear hearing loss.

  • Newborn (0-6 months) Hearing Screening
    
    This hearing screening measures the middle ear condition and hair cell function of the cochleas. The test is performed in a sound proof room. A probe will be placed in patient’s ears and the test runs automatically.
    
    
  • Infant (7-12 months) Test Battery
    
    This test battery measures the middle ear condition and hair cell function of the cochleas. The test is performed in a sound proof room. A probe will be placed in patient’s ears and the test runs automatically.
    
    
  • Toddler (1-3 years) Test Battery
    
    This test battery measures the middle ear condition, hair cell function of the cochleas and the hearing responses of the better ear. This test is performed in a sound proof room. Patient will be instructed to turn head towards different sound sources.
    
    
  • Preschooler (3-5 years) Test Battery
    
    This test measures the hearing levels of various frequencies. The test is performed in a sound proof room. Patient, wearing a headphone, will be instructed to follow instructions (e.g. place a block in the bucket) when hear sounds.
    
    
  • Child (5 years and above) Test Battery
    
    Child has adequate attention to perform adult assessments.

• Hearing Aid Brands (ReSound/Oticon/Signia/Starkey/Phonak)
  
  Our clinic works with 5 top hearing aid brands to provide a one-stop hearing aid trial experience for patient. Each brand presents different sound effects. It is important to choose a suitable hearing aid for the ultimate listening outcome.

• Swimming earplugs

  This type of earplugs is used to protect water from entering the ear canals. It can be used during shower or swimming.

• Sleeping earplugs

  This type of earplugs is used for sleeping. It is relatively small in size to ensure comfort during sleep.

• Noise reduction earplugs (with and without filters)

  This type of earplugs can be paired with filters of various power. The stronger the power, the more the noise reduction.

• Musician earplugs (ER-15 / ER-25)

  This type of earplugs maintains the quality of sound by attenuating a constant amount of noise across frequencies. It must be paired with filters.

• Earphone earplugs

  This type of earplugs is suitable for patients whose earphones fall out of ears easily and/or would like to block noise while enjoying music.

• Tinnitus Evaluation
  
  Tinnitus evaluation includes two parts: hearing assessment and tinnitus evaluation.
  
  Hearing assessment measures patient’s hearing levels, middle ear condition and function of cochlear outer hair cells. Tinnitus evaluation assesses patient’s tinnitus pitch and loudness and determine whether patient is a candidate for Tinnitus Retraining Therapy (TRT).
  
  
• Tinnitus Retraining Therapy (TRT)
  
  The aim of Tinnitus Retraining Therapy is to reduce patient’s annoyance to tinnitus through counselling and the use of tinnitus masker(s). The therapy lasts for 1.5 – 2 years.
